Rotten, 2020
Animation
At its core, Rotten is a short story about self-isolation and the choice to give up, to surrender to its blade. The only character, an agoraphobe, makes his way throughout a day like any other. The only difference is his sudden case of decomposition. He leaves parts of himself that grows throughout the space like an unrelenting mold. His disease slowly spreads and conquers, portraying just how easy it is to lock yourself up in an independent world. In this small world made up of clay and cardboard, reality and fiction play with the emotions we see versus those we feel ourselves.
