Introductory Workshops for MDCPS Teachers: June 12, 13 and 14, 2019.2019-04-25T15:07:13-04:00

The typical 6-hour 3D printing Workshop Format is:

-Hour 1: Assign individual laptops, intro to additive technologies and 3D printing, current project in the lab

-Hour 2, 3: Hands-on 3D modeling with Rhinoceros 3D software, customization, and preparation for printing.

-Hour 4: Preparing the print using MakerBot software, starting the print on a 3D printer dedicated to your print, ensuring that the print is initializing correctly, calculating print time.**

-Hour 5: Hands-on time with the printers, presentations, demonstrations

-Hour 6: Hands-on time with the printers and software, Q&A and evaluations.

**Please note that printing can take longer than the allotted workshop time.  We will make accommodates to get your prints back to you even after the workshop is over.

***Lunch is the responsibility of the participants and will be inserted for an hour within the schedule depending upon the start-time.

Groups of 10-25 participants will be accommodated.
