NPR’s Winter/Spring 2021 Internship Program will be fully remote.
Program Duration: January 11 – April 16, 2021
The NPR Politics Intern will join the Washington Desk just as its reporters covering the White House, Capitol Hill and other critical beats are gearing up to cover the inauguration of the next president. Whether that person is Donald Trump for a second term or Joe Biden, the team will be covering the first 100 days of the new administration in depth and with vigor, and on all platforms – broadcast, digital and in the podcast space. As the NPR Politics intern, you will play a key role. The desk intern does research for reporters and editors, maintains our calendar of events, builds clipboards for radio pieces, builds digital story pages, logs interviews, fact-checks the NPR Politics Podcast and has the opportunity to write for the web. Candidates must have a demonstrated interest in journalism, as well as government and politics.
