Summer Stage Management Intern | The Naples Players

The Naples Players is searching for motivated, confident, and creative young stage managers for their 21-22 Internship Program. Interns will work closely with the professional, full-time staff members in mounting the theatrical season and all related events. 

Stage Management Interns will work directly under the Production Stage Manager and Education Stage Manager and learn organization, adaptability, cast and crew management, volunteer management, reading music and calling off of a score, and overall administration required of a production stage manager. SM Interns begin as an ASM for a large mainstage summer musical and SM the capstone teen summer musical, as well as, oversee tech rehearsals for 2 other student shows. SM interns day to day tasks are arts admin related.

Interns are evaluated throughout the summer, starting with an orientation which establishes the goals and expectations of the summer. Interns will meet with the Associate Artistic Director one on one two weeks into their program, then on the first Friday of every month after for evaluation, ending with an exit interview which encourages and open dialogue about their experience.

The internship is paid, with housing located walking distance to the theatre and to downtown Naples. Start and end dates are negotiable based on school schedule.
