Wasp Mobile’s publisher Consequence Media is hiring a part-time Design/Content Associate to join its team. With award winning indie music & entertainment publishers like Consequence of Sound under its umbrella, CM caters to some of the most passionate fans in music & entertainment. At our core we’re music & pop culture lovers forged by our upbringing in the festival space.
Today CM reaches over 10 million monthly readers who look to us for the latest in music, tv, film, & comedy.
As one of the last indie publications, we pride ourselves on our autonomy and the passion of the folks who’ve helped build our brands. We’ve also cultivated a thriving agency business, allowing us to expand the reaches of our services and help brands reach new audiences.
Ideal candidates will be self-starters with experience in the music & entertainment industry and a deep knowledge of current trends therein. Tasked with assisting on a wide variety of design projects from digital events and branded content to data application and email marketing, the ideal Design & Content Associate is someone who is able to learn on the fly and comfortable wearing a number of hats.
Job Description:
- Create and design print and digital materials for clients in varied industries.
- Create ad & social media copy adhering to client guidelines
- Adhere to brand and style guidelines and complete projects according to set deadlines.
- Retouch and manipulate images, adapt to various web and mobile ad sizes.
- Use graphic design softwares such as Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Corel Draw and work with a wide variety of media.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Marketing Manager/Content Marketing Specialist to develop design concepts..
- Receive feedback from Social Media Marketing Manager/Content Marketing Specialist and make necessary changes as per deadlines.
- Assemble final presentation material for printing as needed.
Requirements
- Integrated Marketing or Graphic Design major preferred
- Solid written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design/branding fundamentals.
- Experience with InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator a plus, Canva is acceptable
- Experience with email marketing & CRM a plus
- Strong creative and analytical skills
- Compelling portfolio of graphic design work.
- Self-starter, eager to learn and open to receive feedback.
- Creative and willing to share ideas.
- Writing social media captions.
