As the Production Artist Coordinator, you will support the art department in production, design, retouching and more by proactively organizing art files and incoming projects, for amazing Record Label group.
In this role, you’ll:
- Layout the catalog packaging conversions–LPs, CDs
- Help post final cover images for internal use
- Liaison with Legal as contract point person (photographers, designers, photo licenses, etc.)
- Liaison for external designer’s needs (templates, logos, artwork requirements, etc.)
- Maintain and archive digital assets, templates for packaging, packshots, stickers, etc.
- Create product stickers, scanning, disc labels, etc. as needed
- Point person for internal/external JPG and PDF needs, layered files, etc.
- Send out final color proofs to printers
- Assist art directors and designers as needed
- Organize photoshoots on server
- Coordinate printing of posters, some merch with outside vendors.
For this role, you should have:
- College degree or minimum 2 years experience working with digital art and graphics
- Incredible fluency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience Retouching artwork for print production
- Efficient and detailed organization skills a must
- Strong written and verbal acumen
- Knowledge and understanding of art production life cycle and print knowledge
- Ability to keep projects on track, within projected timeline and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to organize cover images, sticker library, layered artwork files
- Ability to track and organize photography, design or illustration contracts and reports
- Manage relationships with a positive attitude and strong communication, with outside vendors, throughout the art department, and with company employees
