NPR’s Summer 2021 Internship Program will be fully remote.
Program Duration: June 1 – August 20, 2021
The Consumer Products team is the cornerstone of NPR’s retail experience overseeing all aspects of NPR’s retail products via online retail sales. We are currently seeking a highly motivated intern to join our team. The ideal candidate brings with them the enthusiasm for engaging with customers and representing the NPR brand coupled with attention to detail and organizational skills to help create a meaningful experience that generates interest and traffic and maximizes revenues to support the mission.
INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES
During your internship experience, you will assist with new retail product development, website merchandising, online marketing and web store administration along with supporting the team’s projects and initiatives. There is also a strong need for a candidate with social media coordination and brand development experience. As part of the Consumer Products team you will discover connections between NPR’s rich history and our mission-inspired merchandise.
WHO CAN APPLY?
- LOCATION: Must be planning to work from the United States and authorized to work in the United States throughout the Summer 2021 internship dates.
- EDUCATION: Must be a current student in an accredited degree program or a recent graduate of no more than 12 months from the month of the start of the internship.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business Administration, Retail Management and Merchandising, Consumer Retail Studies, Marketing or related field.
- Hands-on experience in specialty retail, knowledge of inventory management, maintaining website merchandising, and the ability to spot and scout upcoming trends and site needs.
- Excellence at both team collaboration and independent work on projects, with strong time management skills.
- Comfortable with speaking to the public and providing customer service is required, and past related experience is a plus.
- Strong proficiency with Excel, HTML, and any computer languages are a plus.
- Strong Social Media experience, as well as experience handling influencer interactions is a plus.
