NPR’s Summer 2021 Internship Program will be fully remote.
Program Duration: June 1 – August 20, 2021
The B2B Communications Intern will support the Member Partnership team, who oversees the business relationship with NPR’s network of 260+ local stations. The role will be an integral part of drafting messaging and developing community management standards and practices for Facebook groups, Slack communities and more. This position will have exposure to many divisions and processes across NPR – providing an all-encompassing overview of NPR’s business practices. Ideally, we are looking for a roll-up-your-sleeves team member who is entrepreneurial, curious, self-motivated, agile, creative, a problem solver and a collaborative team player.
INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with drafting communications
- Research community standards and best practices and propose standards for NPR Slack and Facebook group communities
- Evaluate current Twitter strategy and propose content calendar
WHO CAN APPLY?
- LOCATION: Must be planning to work from the United States and authorized to work in the United States throughout the Summer 2021 internship dates.
- EDUCATION: Must be a current student in an accredited degree program or a recent graduate of no more than 12 months from the month of the start of the internship.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Social media community management
- Corporate copywriting and editing skills/experience
- Marketing background
