The company customizes a distribution strategy for each film, which may also include day and date, something that IFC Entertainment pioneered whereby films are available in theaters the same day they can be accessed through VOD platforms. RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Provides administrative support to Executive, including calendar management, coordinating
travel arrangements and preparing expense reports
– Evaluates incoming films and scripts and provides written coverage related to our brand
– Assists the acquisitions team with various festival preparations
– Maintains and updates our tracking databases
– Facilitates payments and other departmental invoices
– General office admin duties and any other day to day tasks that may arise (i.e answering phones, scheduling, Fedex, Messenger, etc.)
REQUIREMENTS:
– A love for independent film
– Well-versed in film language and has a strong knowledge of contemporary indie cinema
– Familiarity with industry and entertainment trade publications
– Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
– Extreme attention to detail
– Familiar with general office software programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and FilemakerPro.
