Your job
Indeed’s Associate Product Manager (APM) Internship was designed to give aspiring product managers hands-on experience designing, building, and launching products for users around the world. APM Interns get to experience a taste of what it means to be a product manager by working on an important problem alongside a great manager and network of mentors.
- New product — drive a product feature from conception to launch; consider the problem, scope the possibilities, build a prototype, and launch the product.
- Existing product — manage an iteration of a product or feature; evolve a product already in users’ hands, by using data to identify ways the feature is falling short of its full potential, and making it even better.
- Overlapping products — work on a product that enables and empowers Indeedians to serve our users with consistency and precision, amplifying the impact of their work.
To support your growth as an APM, you will be paired with a dedicated manager and have access to a network of mentors and coaches. You will grow as an influencer, strategic thinker, decisive data capturer / interpreter, storyteller, and resource manager, while having the opportunity to collaborate with both product and cross-functional teams! To give an example, one of our APM interns collaborated with a team of Designers, Engineers, PMs, and Data Scientists to drive the design, implementation, experimentation and iteration of a major job seeker feedback mechanism—all in 12 weeks!
Beyond the APM Internship itself, Indeed’s Austin interns of all disciplines and roles go on adventures throughout the city together! In the past, we’ve explored the local food scene’s award-winning food trucks and restaurants, hosted boat parties on Lake Travis, and attended music festival extravaganzas. It’s a great way to get to know the city, company, and your fellow interns!
In short, as an Indeed APM Intern, you will:
