The Job:
The Network Booking department is CNN’s central booking unit. This unit is responsible for pursuing high profile interviews for all shows across CNN’s broadcast and digital platforms (CNN, CNN International, CNN Español, etc.). This team acts as the network points of contact for all high profile guests (world leaders, celebrities, authors, etc.) that are in constant demand for interviews. They are the one of the first teams to be dispatched during breaking news stories, as they are responsible for finding compelling guests that can shine light on the current story. Additionally, they work with guests involved in all special events, such as debates and town halls.
The Daily:
- Find and pitch breaking news stories
- Assist the team in all aspects of the day to day. Including: finding new and interesting guests, booking interviews, and managing the relationship with the guests before and after the interview.
- Work with all show teams across CNN’s broadcast and digital platforms on breaking news interviews, author interviews and special events.
- Research breaking news stories to make sure the team has a full understanding of the issues at hand.
The Essentials:
- Must currently be pursuing an Undergraduate degree
- Preferably, juniors and seniors
- Previous experience working in news is preferred but not mandatory

Internship Program:
- Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
- Fall 2022 program dates are October 3rd – December 9th; must be available for full program duration
- Part-time schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
- Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program.
