In this role, we would entrust you to plan and lead therapeutic music treatment for individuals in our care. Along with other duties as needed, we would have you:
- Write and implement treatment plans
- Conduct individual and group activities
- Consult with other professionals on the appropriate techniques and materials used for each individual
Schedule
- Part-time, 34 hours per week position
- Located in the Albert J. Solnit Psychiatric Center, South Campus hospital
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday: 12:00 pm – 7:30 pm
- Wednesday: 11:00 am – 5:30 pm
- Sunday and Monday off
Located in Middletown, it is widely recognized as a center of excellence for family-centered treatment of children and youth with serious emotional disturbances. This state-administered Psychiatric facility provides comprehensive care to children and adolescents under the age of eighteen, with severe mental illness and related behavioral and emotional problems who cannot be safely assessed or treated in a less restrictive setting. The South Campus consists of four co-ed hospital units and three female adolescent Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility cottages (PRTF). Located at 915 River Road, Middletown, CT, our 67-acre campus in centrally located and sits over looking idyllic views of the Connecticut River.
