Carlos Garcia is a highly accomplished bassoonist and music educator with extensive performance experience and a strong academic background. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Bassoon Performance and Music Education from Florida International University (FIU) in December 2015, followed by a Master of Science in Music Education from the same institution in 2020. Carlos had the privilege of studying under prominent instructors, including Matthew Corey, Michael Ellert, Rachel Lueck, and Gabriel Beavers, which significantly shaped their artistic and educational development.

As a versatile performer, Carlos holds positions with several prestigious ensembles, including Miami City Ballet Orchestra, The Symphonia, South Florida Symphony, Miami Symphony, Symphony of the Americas, Miami Wind Symphony, and Opera Naples. He has also served as an orchestra librarian and section bassoonist for the Miami Summer Music Festival. Carlos’ dedication to their craft has been recognized through accolades such as a finalist in the FIU Concerto Competition and a solo performance with the FIU Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Darwin Aquino.
