In the festival opening concert Aksak Duo, virtuoso Turkish musicians Cihat Askin, violin, and Mesut Özgen, guitar, present a program of duo and solo works by Pablo Ortiz, Christopher Pratorius, Kenneth Walicki, Mesut Özgen, and others.

Among the featured works are Pas de Deux by Chris Pratorius, Freak Folk by Pablo Ortiz, and A Wave in the Ocean by Ken Walicki (all written for Aksak Duo), as well as Moldavian-Turkish Medley, Rumeli Türküsü, and Turkish Folk Songs by Mesut Özgen.
