The student-run radio show, FIU Music Hour, offers students hands-on experience in radio broadcasting, live performance, and music management and production. The weekly show presents live-on-the-air performances by students, alumni, and faculty of the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts.

The show allows students to experience an engaging radio station environment where many skills can be learned and expanded. Students are responsible for booking performers, writing scripts for the host, setting stage lights, operating cameras, creating content for social media, and working with the WDNA team on production specs. Real-life opportunities and internships prepare students as music professionals within an academic setting.

The show takes place every Tuesday, 11am – 12pm, as a live performance and broadcast in the WDNA Jazz Gallery on historic Coral Way.
