Dear Visual and Performing Arts Students,
Welcome to the beginning of your career journey with CARTA! As your career specialist, I am here to help you to strategically and creatively reach your next goal. Whether that’s feeling more confident about picking a career path, or learning how to network in a genuine way, I want to give you all the tools you need to find success. I am a huge theater nerd and spent several years in high school performing and working on the production team for various musicals and black box productions. I was even a stage manager for a production while in college.
I grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and made pit stops on Long Island and in North Carolina before making Florida my home 3 years ago. Just like where I’ve lived, my career plans have always travelled a winding road and changed so many times over the years. I attended Stony Brook University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with minors in Gender Studies and Health in 2015. Immediately after, I attended UNC Greensboro for my Masters in Education where I fell in love with career coaching. Some things you’ll hear about in future meetings with me: my cat Calamari, my arts and crafts projects, new recipes I’ve made, and all the different shows I binged over the weekend. I’m excited to learn more about the things you love and to hear about your big dreams.
