Mavy Mastrovito was born and raised in Miami. During her undergraduate studies, she received degrees in both Music and Biology at Florida International University where she was involved in the marching band, flute choir, Charanga ensemble, and was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota. Her love of animals led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture specializing in Animal Science from The Ohio State University and is now employed as a full-time veterinary nurse. Mavy is a classically trained flute player who performs often and has a passion for live performing arts production and management, which led her to return to FIU to obtain a Master’s degree in Music Business in 2019. Since then, she’s been an adjunct professor of Music Appreciation at her alma mater.
