You’re in…let’s get started!
Congratulations on your acceptance to the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts! We look forward to welcoming you into our Panther Music Community!
Your journey begins with an orientation before the start of your first semester as a student. Our faculty, staff, and students look forward to meeting you during orientation activities. Please feel free to reach out to our undergraduate and graduate advising staff as well as our student services staff member at music@fiu.edu if you do have any questions.
All incoming, degree-seeking music students are required to attend the School of Music orientation session. You’ll get the opportunity to learn about your music staff that are here to help you, the faculty for your courses, and the facilities where you will spend most of your music days.
This is just the beginning
Undergraduate orientation provides a great opportunity for you to become familiar with FIU and the Wertheim School of Music.
As part of orientation, you will meet your music advisor and be able to register for classes. You will also have a chance to meet your new peers. Please be certain to sign up for the University orientation as soon as possible after receiving your acceptance letter.
