Panther Music Orchestra Program
Live, learn, and perform with other young musicians on the FIU campus, led by experienced faculty! During your time here, you will grow as a musician as you participate in and enjoy a summer of memorable performances. See what it’s like to be a panther!

Advanced Orchestra Program
Our advanced program offers a variety of music experiences for talented students entering grades 8 – 12 in the fall. Here, you will be able to work with FIU faculty and will work on more challenging repertoire.
There will be opportunities for orchestral and small group coaching, plus individual instruction and technique classes provide a comprehensive and stimulating program of performance and learning. As part of this program, you will prepare challenging solo literature for performance, participate in collaborative playing, participate in a full orchestra, and perform a finale showcase!
Requirements
- Entering grades 8-12 in the fall.
- Must provide teacher recommendation form.
- Must bring their own instrument to camp.

Advanced Level

Requirements
- Entering grades 6-12 in the fall.
- Has studied Suzuki Book 4 or above | 3va scales and arpeggios: C, G, D, F
- Must bring their own instrument to camp.
Intermediate Level
Our intermediate music programs offer a variety of artistic experiences for students. Opportunities for orchestral and small group coaching, plus individual instruction and technique classes provide students with a comprehensive and stimulating program of performance and learning. As part of this program, you will prepare solo literature for performance, participate in collaborative playing, and perform on the Wertheim Concert Hall Stage for a finale showcase!
Requirements
- Entering grades 6-12 in the fall.
- Studied Suzuki Book 2 or 3 | 2va scales and arpeggios: C, G, D, A, F, Bb, Eb
- Must bring their own instrument to camp.
Beginner Level
String players of all skill levels gain a sense of accomplishment and experience the joy of ensemble performance! As part of this program, you will have the opportunity perform on the Wertheim Concert Hall Stage for a finale showcase!
Requirements
- Entering grades 4- 6 in the fall.
- Has studied Suzuki Book 1. Should be able to play a DM Scale and read notes in 1st position.
- Must bring their own instrument to camp.
