Svetozar Ivanovhas made numerous appearances as recitalist and orchestra soloist in Europe and North America. All Music Guide and Fanfare Magazine praised his recent solo CD\u2019s; the CD \u201cNaked Tango\u201d was called \u201csuperbly original, quite moving, personal and musically absorbing\u201d while his CD \u201cVers la flamme\u201d was celebrated for performances which were \u201cplayed with aplomb, panache and complete conviction\u201d and interpretation \u201cfilled with sensual longing, anguished yearning, anxious dread and provocative energy\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0Regarding his CD \u201cEcho\u201d one reviewer wrote: \u201cIvanov\u2019s most distinctive gift as a pianist is his ability to draw us inward, which imparts the feeling that we\u2019re approaching a mystery.”<\/p>\n

Recent performance venues include Carnegie, Merkin, and Steinway Halls in New York City, Salle Gaveau in Paris, Splendor and Bethani\u00ebnklooster in Amsterdam, Guildhall, Royal College, and Goldsmith in London, Mozarteum in Salzburg, Razumovsky Salon in Vienna, Salon Chritophori and DDR Radio in Berlin, RNCM in Manchester, Royal Academy of Music in Denmark, RCS in Prague, Sequoia Concerts in San Francisco, as well as numerous concert series at universities throughout the US. Recent festival appearances include \u201cPianoEchos\u201d, \u201cTerre d\u2019Arezzo\u201d, \u201cAutunno Musicale\u201d, and \u201cClassicariano\u201d in Italy, \u201cPianotune\u201d in Belgium, \u201cSeiler\u201d in Greece, \u201cWalled City\u201d in Northern Ireland, \u201cSalon des Arts\u201d and \u201cSofia Music Weeks\u201d in Bulgaria, \u201cPeter the Great\u201d in the Netherlands, \u201cChautauqua\u201d in New York, \u201cKillington\u201d in Vermont, and \u201cFox River\u201d in Wisconsin.<\/p>\n

Svetozar Ivanov is especially recognized for his creative work designing unusual concert formats combining music with other art forms (documentary footage, art films, animation, poetry, short stories, live dance, paintings, lighting design). His latest DVD\u00a0“Perpetual Tango” explores the synthesis between music, movement, multimedia, and was released by Naxos in 2018.<\/p>\n

Svetozar Ivanov is Professor of Piano at\u00a0University of South\u00a0Florida, serves as Artist Faculty at Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival in\u00a0Vermont, Brancaleoni International Music Festival in Italy, Prague Piano Festival in the Czech Republic, and is the Artistic Director of the Steinway Piano Series in Tampa.<\/p>\n
