Linda Chamorro is an Assistant Professor at Florida International University (FIU) in the department of Landscape Architecture + Environmental and Urban Design. A landscape architect, designer, and artist by training, her scholarship and practice examine the potential of public space to strengthen communities through ecological and cultural engagement. Her work has been supported by grants and fellowships from the Landscape Architecture Foundation, Oolite Arts, and the Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab at FIU, and published by Landscape Journal and LA+ Journal. After working at various landscape architecture firms in San Franciso and Miami, she founded 5m Studio, an interdisciplinary design studio focused on residential landscape design and public art. She holds an MLA from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Bard College at Simon’s Rock.
