Elite Kedan
Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor
Department of Interior Architecture

Elite Kedan is a registered architect and artist with over two decades of experience in professional practice, teaching, and cultural production. Since 2005, she has served as an adjunct faculty in the School of Architecture at Florida International University, teaching across the Architecture Department, the lower division design foundation program, and contributing to the education of Interior Architecture students through interdisciplinary courses that span architecture, interior, and landscape design. Ms. Kedan holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, as well as a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University. She is a licensed architect in both Florida and New York, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

She has practiced in New York, Boston, and Miami, with firms such as Kyu Sung Woo Architects, Moshe Safdie Architects, and her own practice, Shemesh + Kedan Architects. Since 2005, she has led an independent practice in Miami, focusing on the intersections of technology, public space, and environmental change. Her creative work has earned residencies at AIRIE in the Everglades, Atlantic Center for the Arts, and ArtCenter/South Florida. She has been awarded competitive residencies, including AIRIE in the Everglades, the Atlantic Center for the Arts, and ArtCenter/South Florida. Her published works include Provisional: Emerging Modes of Architectural Practice USA, along with several studio publications developed with FIU students.
