
John Naranjo has been a practicing creative designer for more than 36 years. His body of work includes creative concepts in commercial interior retail and hospitality. His unique design approach emphasizes the integration of architecture, interior design, concept branding and artistic collaborations. John Naranjo is currently Associate Principal and Design Director for the Arcadis Miami office. He serves in a leadership role for the Retail and Transportation practice areas and served as Retail Design Leader with Gensler as Creative Design Director with PDT International, Pavlik Design Team, Oscar Garcia Architects and Echeverria Design Group. Throughout his career, Mr. Naranjo has played an active role in commercial domestic and international projects throughout the United States, South Korea, Germany, Romania, Central America and the Caribbean. Projects under his design direction have won over 20 awards for design excellence. These awards include five ASID awards for both retail and hospitality, five IFDA retail awards, one IIDA for healthcare design, one gold key award in hospitality, and one ISP award in store planning, two A.R.E retail design awards and five awards for furniture style design awards. In addition to his professional work, John Naranjo actively contributes to design education. He has served as a Distinguished Studio Mentor and guest juror for the Interior Architecture Department at FIU and currently teaches the Master's Project Studio.
