Yi Belanger is the Principal and CEO of MD Design, a Healthcare Architecture and Interior Design Firm. She has practiced healthcare design for over 16 years and has led as the Miami Healthcare Lead and the National Healthcare Design Director in two of her former employment in large international architecture firms. Belanger is a Registered Interior Designer in the State of Florida. And she is EDAC certified by The Center for Health Design for advocating evidence-based design using measurable outcomes and data to substantiate her design strategies. She is passionate about helping her clients make the physical environment of their healthcare facilities reflective of their quality model of care.

Belanger’s experience and project scopes range from singular 500 SF Surgical and Diagnostic Room buildouts to over 275,000 SF Patient Tower renovations and ground-up construction. With her natural propensity for details and a keen eye for designing outpatient facilities, medical office buildings, and hospitals, Belanger was named the Designer of the Year by IIDA in 2018 and have fostered successful projects and great relationships with healthcare systems throughout the State of Florida. Today, with MD Design, she leads a boutique firm focused on optimizing healthcare environments and helping her clients achieve their design visions and project goals.
