P.G. Cuschieri has been a professional screenwriter since November 2002, when he sold his first screenplay, 5150, to Columbia Pictures. Since then, he has written, created, produced, and been responsible for a profusion of film, television, books, and podcast content. In 2019, Mr. Cuschieri wrote the heist film for Patriot Pictures. The screenplay, CUT THROAT CITY, filmed on location with an all-star cast, including Terrence Howard, Wesley Snipes, Ethan Hawk, and Eiza Gonzales, was released to rave reviews. And hit number one on NETFLIX for the month of January 2020. Also in 2020, Mr. Cuschieri released his first book, “The Last Narc,” a memoir of decorated DEA Agent Hector Berrellez. The book became a digital best-seller on Amazon and was the basis for the hit docuseries of the same name.
Currently, Thunder Road Productions, (JOHN WICK), is producing a big-budget action pic for internationally Academy Award winning actress, Michelle Yeoh. The film is set to shoot on location in Boston in September of 2024. On the TV front, Mr. Cuschieri adapted the John Connelly series of books, CHARLIE PARKER, in which he will also executive produce. He is also working with producer Lee Caplin on Joshua Greene’s best-selling biography “UNSTOPPABLE”, about Auschwitz survivor and Wall Street tycoon Siggy Wilzig.
Mr. Cuschieri created and wrote the popular series “The Undercovers” with Ed O’Neill in the podcast space. The Global-produced series is now in its third season and is available on Apple and other major platforms. Mr. Cuschieri also created “Westward” for Dan Patrick Podcasts with iHeart Radio and produced the award-winning “Whistleblower.” Currently, he is doing a pair of scripted narrative podcasts for Amazon’s AUDIBLE platform, “Shadowball” and “The Shield.”
Mr. Cuschieri studied theology and philosophy at St. Louis University and received his master of liberal studies from the University of Detroit.
During his RA+DI Residency, Cuschieri is developing new podcasts and mentoring RA+DI fellows working in the podcast space.
