11 AM Friday 2 October

Jesse Brody will speak about one of the biggest failures of his career and how, over time, it became one of his most valuable experiences. He’ll discuss why failure shouldn’t define your self-worth, why it’s an essential part of the creative process, and how recognizing when it’s time to pivot—and having the courage to do it without fear—can ultimately lead you somewhere better.

  • Why failure doesn’t define your worth
  • Why failing is part of the creative process
  • How to spot when it’s time to pivot, and how to make the move without fear

Sometimes the wrong turn is the one that gets you somewhere better

About our Speaker

Born and raised on Miami Beach, Jesse Brody @brodyjesse grew up surrounded by Art Deco: the tropical colors, the geometry, the precision. Today he runs @camodernhome, Miami Beach’s go-to for Herman Miller, Vitra, Flos, Artemide, Tom Dixon and more. He also designs his own pieces, turning copper, hot-rolled steel and aluminum into work that makes people stop and say “wow.”
