Admission Requirements and Forms

  • Immunization Documentation Form. This form should be sent to: Student Health Center, 11200 SW 8th Street, Miami FL 33199 (Not applicable for international online students) 
  • You must have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree. 
  • You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA during the last two years of study. An average of 13 on a 20 point scale; or a 4.0 on a 5.0 grading; or a 7 on a 9 point; or an 8 on a 10 point scale. 
  • International students must pass the TOEFL exam with a minimum score of 500 or score of 80 in the online exam – if your degree is from an institution outside the U.S.; 6.5 overall on the IELTS is required; or 110 points in the Duolingo English Test. 
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from university professors or professional journalists. 
  • Declaration and Certification of Finances (only for international students.) 
  • Submit a 500-word essay, in Spanish, describing “Why I want to be a journalist?” 
  • Your CV or resume.
