Friends of The Wertheim,

This year marks a significant milestone for Florida International University and for the cultural life of our community—the 30th Anniversary of the Wertheim Performing Arts Center (The Wertheim) For three decades, The Wertheim has stood as a cornerstone of artistic excellence in South Florida and as the proud home of the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts and FIU’s Department of Theatre.

Since its opening, The Wertheim has served as a dynamic hub where music, theatre, and interdisciplinary collaboration come together to inspire, educate, and engage. It is a place where students do not simply study the arts—they live them. They perform on professional stages, collaborate across disciplines, and work alongside accomplished faculty and guest artists to create meaningful, real-world experiences. This is #CARTACreativeForcesAtWork at its very best.

As we celebrate this 30th Anniversary Season, we are honoring WPAC’s legacy while looking ahead to its future as a leading center for performance, innovation, and community impact. Each year, WPAC hosts more than 100 performances and events—from symphonic concerts and opera to musical theatre, dramatic productions, jazz ensembles, and contemporary works—welcoming thousands of audience members from across South Florida. The Wertheim not only elevates the cultural fabric of our region but also serves as a vital training ground for the next generation of performers, creators, and leaders in the arts.

This milestone anniversary presents a unique opportunity to partner with us in advancing that mission.
Your support would:

  • Expand access to high-quality arts experiences for our community, including outreach to K–12 students and underserved audiences
  • Enhance student success through scholarships, production support, and hands-on learning opportunities
  • Elevate artistic excellence by supporting innovative productions and attracting distinguished guest artists
  • Strengthen Miami’s creative economy, reinforcing FIU’s role as a leader in arts, culture, and community engagement

We are pleased to offer a range of sponsorship opportunities tied to this landmark season, including naming recognition, exclusive engagement experiences, and visibility across our performances and communications platforms.

At FIU and within the College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts, we are committed to preparing diverse, globally minded leaders who will shape the cultural and creative industries of tomorrow. Your partnership helps make that possible—unlocking opportunities for our students and enriching the cultural life of our community.

I would welcome the opportunity to connect with you personally to discuss how we can align this anniversary celebration with your philanthropic and community engagement goals.

Thank you for your consideration and for your commitment to advancing the arts in South Florida.

With appreciation,

Brian
