For thirty years, the School of Music has found its home at the Wertheim Performing Arts Center—a place where sound, scholarship, and creativity converge. Within these halls, generations of students and faculty have explored the full spectrum of musical expression, from intimate chamber works to large-scale performances that resonate throughout our community. The Wertheim has provided not only a stage, but a space for discovery, collaboration, and artistic growth. As we celebrate this milestone, we honor the musicians and educators who have shaped our legacy and look forward to the music yet to be made.

Through the Years
FIU Music Festival
This annual festival has become a staple for FIU and South Florida community.
Formerly known as the FIU International Festival of the Arts, the festival began with the opening of The Wertheim. It attracts talent from around the world and domestically – bringing renowned talent for 30+ years.
