The New York Field Intelligence Group (FIG), Office of Intelligence, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) provides timely, accurate, and predictive intelligence to enable a CBP decision advantage over illicit actors, organizations, and activities within the NYFIG region. Interns will provide all-source analytical support to CBP customers by delivering finished intelligence products that inform and support
Internship Description: Unpaid

- Providing operational stakeholders with intelligence products that inform and enhance their ability to make strategic, operational or tactical decisions;
- Analyzing finished intelligence products in support of operations;
- Researching tools, techniques, and intelligence procedures to establish trends, patterns, and estimates to enhance situational awareness.
- Minimum of four month (120 day) commitment, with ability to extend for up to 60 days.
Purpose of the Internship:
As an all-source intelligence analyst, applicants will learn how to conduct research, form analytical conclusions, key judgements, and perform a variety of analytical techniques to answer key intelligence questions. Interns will learn the intelligence cycle, Intelligence Community Standards, a variety of analytical techniques, and an understanding of the complex border security environment.
Agency Minimum Qualifications:
· You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position
· Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service
· Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
· You may be required to pass a background investigation and drug test
Additional Information:
The applicant must pass a vetting process or may be required to pass background investigation, which may take 2-3 months or longer to complete. Duty location will be located at the New York Field Intelligence Group at One World Trade Center, New York, New York 10007
