Over the course of the summer, the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood holds three different camps for approximately 200 students ranging in age from 5-16. Our two younger camps encourage fun and discovery through the visual and performing arts by way of art projects like painting, collaging, and crafting, drama games, and group activities. Each two-week session culminates with an exhibition/performance for campers to showcase their growth. Our third camp for students ages 10-16, brings students into the world of theatre as campers prepare a production of a junior stage show. At the end of these two four-week-session the campers perform a show on the stage of the Hollywood Central Performing Arts theatre.
The Arts Apprentice position is designed for young adults between the ages of 18 and 25 who are looking to gain work experience while working with our Summer Arts Camp. In addition, they will get to explore interest areas connected to their future careers. Arts Apprentices work closely with department team members and will be mentored as they complete the session.
