L5 Acceleration Services is looking for a Design Specialist to join our growing team. The Design Specialist will be responsible for ensuring adherence to our portfolio brands’ ‘store design’ standards on the interior and exterior of our spaces and will own the Change Management process by which all change is tracked and information disseminated to all involved parties. This role will be responsible for planning interior layout and signage visibility (size and location), organizing timelines/information gathered from cross-functional team and outside sources. Additionally, maintaining vendor relationships will be essential to the ongoing execution of the development program including architects, engineers, permit expeditors and others. 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Own the ‘Operations review and alignment of schematic design’ process and ensure all stakeholders are informed and involved. 
  • Ensure accurate planning for new store openings including drawing & permit timelines. 
  • o Ensure successful, high-quality, execution of the Company’s development program and attainment of the Company’s budgeted store openings, incremental sales, occupancy costs, store investment, and incremental earnings contribution. 
  • Comfortable leading aspects of implementation, including company drawing standards, store planning and design strategies to enhance development processes and performance. 
  • Work with Design Management team to satisfy the needs of the Portfolio Companies, Executive Team, CEO, and Board of Directors as they arise. 
  • Track and monitor Architect & Engineer costs – focus on reduction. 
  • Review all drawings prior to submission to municipality and construction team for content and accuracy. 
  • Ensure all design-related information is up to date and entered in a timely manner in all online applications used by Level 5 and portfolio companies. 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

 

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUP 
  • Possess strong organizational skills 
  • Focused on results– ability to understand team roles/expectations and hold self accountable.
