JOB SUMMARY: This internship will work closely with the Creative Studio Show Writing team with an intention to provide the intern with a first-hand knowledge and understanding of how Theme Parks are developed and designed through exposure and interaction with a variety of efforts across all of our portfolios and differing guest demographics. The individual will interact with and be guided by the Show Writing team members while contributing to ideation, concept development and ongoing project needs. They will learn the essentials of listening to partner needs, communicating effectively, and providing thoughtful options to achieve a successful guest experience that is balanced with our business needs. They will help to champion story, quality guest experience, and maintaining the creative vision for the project at all times.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates actively in brainstorm, charettes and ideation sessions.
- Assists with drafting written story treatments, scripts, VIP Tour scripts and nomenclature lists.
- Interacts with other creative disciplines representing story and guest experience, and how that story can be best reflected within the deliverables completed by those various disciplines.
- Edits existing documents.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.*

EDUCATION:
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
- Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- An official transcript may be required upon request.
- Preferred majors include: Creative Writing, Theatre, Film, Drama, English, Communication
EXPERIENCE: Prior internship experience related to position is preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Preferable skills for success in role include but not limited to:
- Final Draft and Keynote experience preferred.
- Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in creative writing, screenwriting, or the writing of live entertainment preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Superior written & verbal communication skills.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
- Consistent attendance.

- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than August 2023.
