From orientation to graduation, the Department of Theatre is committed to supporting your academic and professional success. We understand that navigating your college journey can be both exciting and challenging, and our dedicated advising team is here to help every step of the way. Through personalized guidance, academic planning, and access to campus resources, advisors empower students to achieve their goals with confidence.

For your convenience, we offer in-person and virtual advising appointments, as well as designated drop-in advising hours for students with quick questions or immediate concerns who do not have a scheduled appointment. Whether you need assistance with course planning, degree requirements, or navigating university resources, your advisor is here to support your success.

Schedule an Appointment

Students can schedule an advising appointment through MyFIU by selecting the Panther Success Network (PSN) tile. Appointments are available in person or virtually and provide dedicated time to discuss academic planning, degree progress, enrollment, graduation requirements, and other advising-related topics.

Drop-In Advising (In-Person or Remote)

Need a quick answer? Drop-in advising is available for brief questions and immediate concerns without a scheduled appointment. Students may join during designated drop-in hours to receive assistance with topics such as registration questions, course selection, academic policies, and general advising guidance.

Please note that drop-in advising is intended for brief consultations. Students requiring more in-depth advising support may be asked to schedule a full advising appointment.

Please check the Panther Success Network (PSN)

Your Advisor will notify you through PSN if their drop-in schedule changes or if their regular drop-in hours differ from those listed above. Please continue to check Panther Success Network (PSN) for Advising updates.

Drop-ins should primarily be used for quick and/or urgent issues (15-20 minutes maximum). Longer meetings and those requiring your advisor to conduct additional research are best scheduled in advance and with an appointment.

Drop-in availability will be first-come, first-served and end promptly at 12:00 PM or 4:00 PM. While we will do our best to see all students who arrive during drop-in hours, we cannot guarantee that all students will be seen. For guaranteed availability, we recommend scheduling an appointment with your Advisor through PSN.

Students will meet with their assigned Advisor during drop-in hours.
