FIU Theatre COVID-19 Audience Statement

We are thrilled to be back with live performances at FIU Theatre!

While we are happy to welcome back our audience to the Wertheim Performing Arts Center, we are committed to doing so as safely as possible.

What we are doing to keep you safe:

  • We have reduced the size of the audience to 60% capacity.
  • After every performance, FIU’s Covid Response Team will do a deep clean of the theatre utilizing EPA-approved disinfectants that are effective against COVID-19 and following the standards and guidelines developed by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Miami-Dade County protocols, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), APPA (an organization of educational facilities professionals), and the ISSA (the leading trade association for the cleaning industry.   • Hand sanitizer will be available in our lobbies.

How you can help us:

  • Stay home if you feel ill to avoid making others sick.
  • Wear a mask or face covering when entering our theatre and during the performance.
  • Spread out throughout the audience, leaving at least a seat or two between your party and other patrons.
