Rebecca Covey is an Equity actor and a designated Linklater Voice teacher. In Chicago, she taught at the Theatre School at DePaul University, Northern Illinois University, and Columbia College.Her scholarly research focuses on helping neurodiverse theatre artists reach their full potential. Additional interests include: the intersection of gender, culture and voice; accents and dialects; and heightened language including Shakespeare, Moliere and Shaw. She has presented papers and workshops at international conferences with the Voice and Speech Trainers Association and the Association of Theatre in Higher Education, as well as with the Southeastern Theatre Conference and the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.
