FIU Entrepreneur in Residence Jeff Brown is a multiple exit serial tech and journalism entrepreneur, turned accredited angel investor. He supports awesome early stage ventures and start ups and the organizations that support them. He has also launched a few himself occasionally.

Jeff is the founder and CEO of the Fourth Estate Public Benefit Corporation.  a multi-stakeholder news organization driven by its social mission to contribute to a healthy society by fostering, supporting and incubating a sustainable and vibrant free press.   He is also the founder of FeedSyndicate, a leading news and content solutions enterprise.

More of his time and attention, resources and investments being directed into companies and organizations capable of generating a measurable, beneficial social and environmental impact alongside a financial return.

Jeff will be evangelizing entrepreneurship and innovation while working side by side with FIU SJMC faculty and students to identify, evaluate, support and launch innovative start-ups with the often unfamiliar challenges during the early and critical startup phase of company development.
