On the Map
March 14 – April 14, 2018
Opening Reception March 22, 2018 at 7PM
On the Map is an important exhibition not just for its artistic range and excellence, but also for its reflections of contemporary, social, and cultural concerns. Therefore, as the class moved through different stages of research, creation, selection of their artworks, and anticipation of viewer responses, I insisted that we would rely upon the collaborative dynamic between artists and audiences. Now, more than ever, it is necessary for people to find new ways of working together. It’s not just about being on the map, it’s about staying on it.
