OJUS STEAM Workshop

9am-1pm

We were approached by Ojus Elementary to be a post-secondary partner in their STEAM designation.  This was not at our initiation, but the work to create a pipeline of inspiration towards STEAM aligns very well with our mission to support and invigorate the tech ecosystem in Miami Dade County at every level.  Public schools apparently need four interactions with a “partner” so we are doing a series of three MBUS workshops and an in-school presentation. Two will be half-day programs at MBUS with different groups of 2-5th graders, and a third day will be a demonstration at Ojus.  In December, we had a 3D printing bridge workshop with Ojus’s Engineering (as you know) rounding out their 4 required interactions with an outside partner (see designation requirements attached—post-secondary partners are mentioned on page 2).
