This fall’s Student Composers Concert features the chamber, solo, and electroacoustic music of five FIU graduate composers performed by student performers from the FIU School of Music. The works vary in style and aesthetic direction as each student works on developing his or her unique compositional voice. The five students are at different stages of their Masters studies some just beginning some finishing their thesis work. The composers being featured on this fall’s concert are Gilbert Kong, Juan Mansilla, Alberto Monnar, Marcus Norris, and Maureen Reyes.
