School of Architecture Miami Beach Urban Studios (SOA MBUS) provides an extraordinary base from which to explore Miami Beach’s, galleries, music and theater venues, architecture firms, and artist studios. Located on Lincoln Road, MBUS is a creative exhibition and maker-space for Design, Arts and Technology affiliated with the FIU CARTA School of Architecture that includes a large 3D printing Lab, galleries, classrooms, and research/innovation space.
Hours:
Visitors are welcomed to the Urban Studios from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays or by scheduled appointment.
FIU students with ID may work at the SOA Miami Beach Urban Studios Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. during the Fall and Spring Semesters or as otherwise previously arranged. Summer C semester has limited hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
On Saturdays and Sundays, the facility is closed.

Situated two blocks from the New World Symphony, a short walk from The Wolfsonian-FIU, the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU, the Bass Museum of Art, and other cultural arts venues, students at the SOA Miami Beach Urban Studios have access to a truly immersive experience in arts and culture. Additionally, students at the SOA Miami Beach Urban Studios can take advantage of Miami Beach’s tropical landscapes and beaches, which are two blocks away.
The building is located between Drexel and Washington Avenues. The entrance is on Lincoln Road near the Haagen Dazs. Take escalator to the second floor towards the elevator in the back to reach the 4th floor where our office is located. Click on the image below to view a map.
Visitors should be aware that some residential districts to the south of the SOA Miami Beach Urban Studios offer free parking, M-F 7AM-6PM. Please read the parking restrictions in any residential district on Miami Beach carefully before parking.
