Leoncio Alvarez is the Assistant Director of Marketing and Membership at the FIU Wellness and Recreation Center. He has a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, a master's degree in Global Strategic Communications, along with a Media Management Certificate from FIU. 

He has incorporated digital, visual, and social media elements that led to impactful marketing and communications strategies for WPBT Channel 2, the South Beach Wine and Food Festival, FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, FIU Online, and FIU's College of Business.  

At the WRC, Leoncio developed and teaches a marketing boot camp that introduces students to the concepts of benchmarking, copywriting, photography, video production, and graphic design. Leoncio is a freelance graphic designer, videographer and adjunct instructor at FIU’s College of Communication, Architecture and the Arts where he currently teaches public speaking courses.
