Amy Desouvre

Adjunct and Affiliated Faculty

I am originally from Boston and have spent over twenty-five years in the radio business. My latest gig brought my talents back to the Miami/Fort Lauderdale market. My voice was heard for four years on 102.7 The Beach/WMXJ and 101.5 Lite-FM/WLYF on the weekends and when filling in. Previously stops made along the way were to the Miami market as well as various New England radio markets. I called West Palm Beach home for over ten years at the New X 1023, as the Midday Goddess. I had the pleasure to interview many of the artists we played. The Midday show achieved number 1 ratings and had been the top in the market for several years in a row. I currently work for Clear Media Network, a syndicated radio programming company.

I have served as an Instructor at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting from 2002-2016, sharing the knowledge and skills I have acquired as a broadcaster with the students.

I also have my bachelor’s degree, from Lynn University in Business administration and General Management. After a well-needed hiatus from schooling, I emerged into my Master’s Degree/Global Strategic Communications at Florida International University, which I completed Spring 2021. I have served as a teaching assistant at FIU while in school, and am honored to serve as an Adjunct Professor for the Communications Department of Florida International University, teaching Public Speaking.

I am proud to be able to help students that are hungry for the multitude of knowledge I have from the many years as a radio broadcaster as well as the enlightenment I have retained from my studies.
