Eva Gasson

Adjunct and Affiliated Faculty

Eva Gasson is a seasoned professional with over 20 years’ experience in communications, marketing, management, conflict resolution, leadership, customer service, building relationships, process improvement, and quality assurance. She earned her M.S. in Mass Communications with a concentration in Global Strategic Communications from FIU in 2017 and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Her research focus was on the relationship between Facebook use and happiness among women Ages 30-45. In 2018, she earned her Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification and completed the Leadership Education Advancement Program at FIU. Mrs. Gasson is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Kappa Tau Alpha Honor Society and the National Honor Society (Lambda Pi Eta).

Ms. Gasson has been an employee at FIU for 28 years and has served in various roles ranging from information technology to communications and marketing. Currently, she serves as Assistant Director for Marketing & Communications for FIU Online where she provides leadership in the planning and development of all CRM and other communication campaigns. She also leads strategic planning initiatives and establishes goals and objectives for FIU Online. In addition to her professional role, teaching has always been her passion. She is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Global Leadership and Management, the School of Communications, the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and the Honors College at FIU.

In addition to teaching, her passion and personal interests are centered around her family and raising her kids to be passionate about what uniquely drives them.
