My name is Bill Young. I am currently an adjunct lecturer in the Communications Department at FIU. I have a B.A. in Communications, and an MBA, from Michigan State University. I served two years in the Army, including a year as a Company Commander and Signal Officer in the Republic of Vietnam. I spent nearly 30 years in a variety of international Media Relations, Government Relations, and Public Relations positions with Exxon Corporation, and have taught other private sector spokespersons how to deal with the media, especially when faced with crises. These are the skills I am teaching the next generation of communicators here at FIU.
