How the Global Strategic Communications Creative Program Works

Although the Global Strategic Communications – Creative Track program at Florida International University is unlike any other Global Strategic Communications in the world, the basics of how it works are the same: First, students must apply for the program; then, once enrolled, students take courses and complete assignments until their degrees are complete. But, we know, you need to know the nitty gritty about the program: How does it really work? What do you have to do if you enroll?

Here’s everything you need to know about how the FIU Global Strategic Communications – Creative Track program works.

The First Step: Apply!

You went to the college you went to because you applied. If you didn’t apply, then you had a zero chance of getting in! It’s the same with this program and any other Master’s Program. To enroll in the FIU Global Strategic Communications – Creative Track program, you must apply!

Who Should Apply?

If you aspire to be an art director or copywriter, then this program is a great option for your continuing education. The Creative Track program focuses on developing a global perspective in strategic communications through the development of trained art directors and copywriters.

This program is designed for creative students who have completed an undergraduate degree. Students who are accepted into the program will learn advanced art direction and copywriting skills.

Step Two: Enroll in the Program & Take Required Courses

Florida International University’s Global Strategic Communications – Creative Track program consists of 39 course credits. The courses are advanced, in-depth, and unique. The lock-step program is designed in conjunction with the Miami Ad School, which means students are required to take courses at FIU’s Biscayne Bay campus in North Miami and at Miami Ad School in Wynwood. Courses provide students with solid understandings of communications theory, global and multicultural consumers, research methods, and creative strategies

The program is completed in 5 consecutive semesters, including summers (19 months). There is no flexible-curriculum available. The school enrolls and selects the schedules for students. 7 courses are completed at FIU and 6 courses are completed at Miami Ad School.

Step Three: Receive Your Degree

Upon completing the Global Strategic Communications – Creative Track program, students have the knowledge and expertise they need to begin their creative careers on the right foot, and they are a step ahead of their peers who do not have the tools provided by this program.
