Grizelle De Los Reyes | Senior Associate Teaching Professor and Program Director

De Los Reyes’s professional experience in media, marketing research, advertising management, and sales has made her a very effective educator and program administrator. She has been the Director of the Global Strategic Communications program – creative track, in partnership with Miami Ad School, since 2010. She has been instrumental in revamping the undergraduate management track and the graduate creative track. She teaches specialized advertising courses such as Media Planning, Global Account Planning and Campaigns.

She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Puerto Rico and a master’s degree, with areas of concentration on advertising management and media, from the University of Florida. Her main teaching focus is to conduct her courses with real clients and projects to provide students with real-world experience, case studies and creative work for their portfolios.

Audrey Glover-Dichter

Glover-Dichter is an Attorney-at-Law, whose practice focuses on Advertising, Marketing and Promotions Law, Intellectual Property Law, Privacy Law, ADA online compliance, and Enforcement Defense. Audrey teaches a specialized course that focuses on Advertising, Marketing and Promotions Law as applicable to creatives.

She graduated from the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, DC. She also has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL, in Politics and Public Affairs/Foreign Languages, and Lobbying Certificate from George Washington University, Washington, DC.

 

RP Kumar

Rajesh (RP) Kumar | Lecturer

With more than 30 years building Consumer Insights, Strategic Planning and Data-based CRM departments, RP specialises in gleaning -hard-to-find, deep Insights from global research projects and leveraging them to develop strategies for clients across the world. Further, he is also responsible for building the agency’s capability in these critical skills and teaches these skills to senior leaders across agencies’ global footprint. 

Based in New York City since 2005, RP has global experience across geographies (New York, Toronto, Dubai, Cairo, India), categories (Technology, Foods, Consumer Products, White Goods, Telco), major global agencies (J. Walter Thompson, Lowe, FCB, Ketchum, RAPP Worldwide) and clients such as Unilever, Philips, Kenwood, Citi, Computer Associates, HP, IBM, AT&T, Kraft Foods, ConAgra, SC Johnson, etc. 

RP holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Marketing and Strategy. In his free time, he is a self-confessed audio freak who designs and builds his own speaker systems and high-end analogue music and home theater setups. He also holds a Private Pilot license and is working towards his Instrument Rating.

Luis Montenegro | Lecturer

Luis F. Montenegro, Jr, MBA, is an adjunct faculty member at both FIU’s School of Communication and Miami Dade College’s School of Business. He has over 20 years of experience in the marketing research and opinion polling industry, as well as in business management. He has assisted companies and candidates in obtaining a clear picture of their brand and position by his research experience. Montenegro successfully manages the operations of a local marketing research firm.

Montenegro is currently a doctoral student at NorthCentral University, where he is working towards a Doctorate in Business Administration. He received his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Barry University’s Andreas School of Business and he is a proud alumnus of FIU’s School of Business, where he received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration.

 

Albena Petrus | Lecturer

Petrus is a global multicultural creative specializing in advertising design. She has worked with many Fortune 500 companies, among them Cisco, PlayStation and Danone. Her experience as an advertising creative in Europe, the United States and Cuba gives her a unique perspective on the industry, the work creatives do and where it’s going.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Design from Havana’s Institute of Design and a master’s degree in Communication Design from the Pratt Institute in NYC. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Strategic Communication, Advertising and Public Relations at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Petrus is an active member of the advertising community. In the past she has served as president of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and she is currently president of the Miami chapter of The One Club for Creativity (since 2018).

Mihaela Plugarasu is an educator and practitioner with 20 years of communication, leadership and personal development experience. She is a dynamic facilitator, moderator and presenter on empowering topics related to social media, communication & leadership and conscious living. In addition to her work at FIU and with U.S.-based non-profits, she has led seminars and courses at the University of Palermo in Palermo, Italy and the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa in Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

When not teaching in the classroom, Plugarasu works with families and organizations in Miami teaching parents the basics of brain development in children and how to promote emotional safety in their families. She is the 1-st and only Certified Instructor in Florida to teach Parenting by Connection/ Hand in Hand Parenting. Her signature program, The Conscious Parent Accelerator, brings self- awareness, trauma-integration, healing and transformation, to families all around the world.

MarlonQuintero

Marlon Quintero | Lecturer

Marlon is an International Emmy nominated Television Producer and a Creative and Strategic Global Executive with experience in the creation, development, production, and commissioning of media content ensuring innovation, competitiveness, organizational development, brand positioning, audience success, value creation, and growth. He teaches courses in Theories of Mass Communication in both graduate and undergraduate levels.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineer, a master’s in Arts in Television Production from San Francisco State University, and a master’s in business administration with a concentration in Entertainment, Marketing, and International Business from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
