The Manifesto All Creatives Should Live By

If you are a creative person, or trying to be one, you are going to want to read this.

According to Answers.com, a manifesto is “a paper written to explain what you’re all about – and why you believe that way. Or perhaps what your plan or intentions are.” It is a purpose and direction statement for your life. Use this as a light to guide your professional career and your creative credence.

Curiosity may have killed the cat, but what you don’t know is that satisfaction brought it back to life.

The most creative people are the most curious ones. The ones that are intrigued about mundane seeming things in life, like word origins and bread ingredients.

Ask questions.

What is it made of? How do you use it? What happens if it gets wet?

The world is limitless and the possibilities are endless.

Make it your mission to learn not one, but five different things everyday. Get out there, get out of your comfort zone. Taste different foods.

Listen to the sounds of nature.

Discover distant cities.
Meet a stranger.
Learn different trades.

Collect adventures instead of cars or shoes.
Copy and paste those experiences into real life situations.

Share your life with others.

Listen to their opinions.
Seek constructive criticism and not applause.
Learn about your strengths and weaknesses; Embrace them. Make your strengths stronger and your weaknesses less weak. Improve yourself and your craft everyday.

Do things over and over until you are satisfied with it.

NO. DELETE THAT.

Until you are passionate about it. Until you are in love with it and want to take a #selfie with it.

REPEAT. ON LOOP.
