What if there was an app that let users design a pre-made vacation plan for travelers to follow? What if I told you it’s already been invented? Let me introduce you to the latest in social traveling innovations: TravelHunt.

Wait, why would this app exist?

Most believe traveling is fundamental for cultural growth and personal development. TravelHunt seeks to create a mobile social gathering that promotes this thinking, where people can exchange their best experiences from traveling, or their knowledge of their city, in order to provide others with the same excitement and joys they have experienced.

Planning for travel, or simply adventure, can be a grueling process. Most of the planning phase involves sifting through reviews and recommendations on various websites and blending them all to create what will hopefully be a good mixture of dining, fun and relaxation. TravelHunt seeks to take away the stress of planning a vacations in a fun way that allows users create suggestions for others, putting all recommendations in one place in a user friendly format.

How is something like this possible?

For ease of use anywhere you go, TravelHunt will be made accessible across mobile devices. TravelHunt will associate with different restaurants and locations that have been suggested by users and offer incentives for following the guide featured on TravelHunt. It involves checking into the various locations on the guide like a scavenger hunt, where visitors will be provided with different incentives for checking into that spot by showing their TravelHunt app and the adventure they are currently following.

OK, So What IS TravelHunt?

With TravelHunt, people can register as a guide to their city or as prospective visitors. Those that choose to guide can develop travel plans that feature day-by-day or hour-by-hour adventures detailing for visitors which restaurant to go to for breakfast, lunch and dinner while also including specific activities to do in-between. They can also feature suggested rest stops or places to stay. The visitors can up-vote their favorite travel guides, or TravelHunts, and write reviews for others to see. Consider it a Yelp where the elites do all the choosing for you or a TripAdvisor that instead does all of the work and planning for you.
