Car Dealership Commercials: A Deviation From the Norm

Car Dealership Commercials: A Deviation From the Norm

They are the reasons people hate commercials. They are the reason people think commercials are a waste of time and a obtrusion to what we really want to see: local car dealership commercials.

They have no creativity, aren’t pretty to look at, and don’t captivate the audience. And the worst part is, they are all the same. Why is this? If no one likes car dealership commercials, why doesn’t someone break the mold and try something new?

If I were put in charge of creating a commercial for a local car dealership commercial, I would push for a change and make something more personal and attention grabbing. I would want the audience to get a true sense of who the people who work at that dealership are like and why they should buy a car from them rather than another dealership nearby.

I would do this by making a series of commercials resembling shows like The Office or Parks and Rec. These shows are known for following it’s characters on their daily lives and showing small, but funny moments that happen to them. Why not follow or pretend to follow the people that work at these car dealership commercials and create funny moments that will captivate the audience?

It would be a long shot, since this has never been done before, but different would definitely be better.
